The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has apprehended District Development Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Fatehgarh Sahib, Kulwinder Singh Randhawa, and a private individual, Hanspal, for allegedly misappropriating government grants worth Rs. 40,85,175.

A case has been registered against five individuals, including Randhawa, under charges of embezzlement and corruption. The accused are alleged to have illegally released government funds to private firms and individuals.
Randhawa and Hanspal have been arrested and will be presented in court. Further investigations are underway.
