The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested Davinder Singh, a Head Cashier at the PSPCL Sub Division South office in Amritsar, for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000.
The Case:
- A complaint was lodged by Narinder Kumar, a resident of Amritsar, alleging that Davinder Singh demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,00,000 for clearing a commercial meter installation application.
- A VB team laid a trap and caught Davinder Singh red-handed while accepting the bribe.

Legal Action:
- A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
- Davinder Singh will be produced in court on Tuesday.
