Young Indian Bowler Claims All 10 Wickets in an Innings, Mimicking Anil Kumble’s Feat

Cooch Behar Trophy Under 19: A young bowler has scripted history in the Cooch Behar Trophy, claiming all 10 wickets in a single innings. This bowler also clinched a hat-trick in the same match.
Suman Kumar’s Historic Feat: Samastipur, a city in Bihar, had earlier grabbed headlines when 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was bought by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Now, another player from the same city, Suman Kumar, has achieved a remarkable feat by taking all 10 wickets in a single innings. Playing for Bihar against Rajasthan in the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 tournament, Kumar claimed 10 wickets. His performance was even more impressive as he also took a hat-trick in the 36th over of the innings.
In the first innings of the match played at Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Patna, Bihar had set a massive target of 467 runs. Deepesh Gupta scored an unbeaten 183 and Prithvi Raj contributed 128 runs. In reply, Rajasthan got off to a good start, but Suman Kumar wreaked havoc, dismissing all 10 batsmen. He bowled 33.5 overs, conceding 53 runs and taking 10 wickets. Indian legend Anil Kumble has previously achieved this feat in international cricket.

Hat-trick in the 36th Over Suman Kumar claimed a hat-trick in the 36th over, dismissing Mohit Bhagtaani, Anas, and Sachin Sharma on consecutive deliveries. This is the second instance in the ongoing domestic cricket season where a bowler has claimed all 10 wickets in a single innings. Earlier, Anshul Kamble, playing for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy 2024-2025, had achieved the same feat against Kerala.
Rakesh Tiwari, President of the Bihar Cricket Association, praised Suman Kumar, saying, “Suman Kumar’s achievement of taking all 10 wickets in a single innings is a matter of great pride for Bihar cricket. His skill and dedication reflect the growing standard of cricket in Bihar. This shows that Bihar is now producing top-class players at the national level.”
