
The government led by Chief Minister Mann has so far provided over 50,000 government jobs: Mundian
Chandigarh, February 17
As part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s extensive campaign to provide government employment to the youth, Hardeep Singh Mundian , Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, today handed over appointment letters to 44 candidates in the department.
During a simple yet impactful ceremony held at the Punjab Bhawan, Mundian stated that the state government has already provided more than 50,000 government jobs so far. Welcoming the newly appointed candidates, he expressed that today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of these young individuals and their families.

The Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation emphasized that the government is conducting recruitments with full transparency and integrity. He expressed hope that the newly appointed candidates would carry out their duties with dedication, sincerity, and honesty. Some candidates were also appointed on compassionate grounds today. Addressing the families of those appointed on compassionate grounds, Mundian conveyed his empathy and said that while the government cannot compensate for their loss, providing government jobs is a humble effort to support their families.

Earlier, Neelkanth Avadh , Principal Secretary of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, informed that among those appointed today are 8 Junior Draftsmen, 4 Clerks, 19 Technical Helpers, 12 Safai Karamcharis, and 1 Chowkidar . The Director of the department, Amit Talwar , was also present on the occasion.
