• Sunam Constituency to Have 29 Stadiums Worth ₹11.5 Cr • ₹5.32 Cr Works Launched in 11 Villages – To Be Completed in 3 Months

In a massive push to transform Punjab into a leading sports hub and keep youth away from drugs, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today inaugurated construction of state-of-the-art sports stadiums in 11 villages of Sunam constituency at a cost of ₹5.32 crore. All works will be completed within three months.
Speaking on the occasion, Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Minister and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora announced that 3,100 villages across Punjab will get modern sports stadiums at a total cost of ₹1,100 crore. In Sunam alone, 29 villages will receive stadiums worth ₹11.5 crore.
“Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the ‘Har Pind Khed Maidan’ mission is being executed at war-footing to promote sports culture, build healthy bodies, and channel youth energy positively,” said Arora.

He emphasized that these stadiums will not only produce future champions but also act as community unity centres, strengthening social bonds in villages.

- Killa Hakiman → ₹65.09 lakh
- Sheron → ₹52.43 lakh
- Shahpur Kalan → ₹39.10 lakh
- Jharo → ₹117.16 lakh
- Togawal → ₹41.56 lakh
- Dhaddrian → ₹26.28 lakh
- Sahoke → ₹35.57 lakh
- Takkipur → ₹23.94 lakh
- Mander Kalan → ₹45.98 lakh
- Lohakhera → ₹41.02 lakh
- Pindi Amar Singh Wali → ₹43.70 lakh
Arora reiterated the Mann government’s zero-tolerance towards drugs and commitment to making Punjab drug-free by empowering youth through sports, skills, and opportunities.
Villagers, sarpanches, panchayat members, and officials present at the event hailed the initiative as a game-changer for rural Punjab, thanking CM Bhagwant Mann and Minister Aman Arora for delivering on-ground development.
