Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli and Mayor Kundan Gogiya today flagged off the construction of roads at a total cost of ₹45 lakh. The new roads—from Safabadi Gate to Darshani Gate and from Khaddar Bhandar Chowk to CIA Staff—will greatly benefit local residents by improving connectivity and accessibility in these areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli highlighted that under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, funds for Patiala’s development are being provided without any bias or discrimination. This has enabled rapid progress in development works across all wards of the city. He added that these road projects will not only ease traffic management but also significantly enhance the overall appearance and infrastructure of the localities.

Mayor Kundan Gogiya explained that the two key stretches—Safabadi Gate to Darshani Gate and Khaddar Bhandar Chowk to CIA Staff—are being constructed as new roads. MLA Kohli reassured the citizens that development works will continue at a fast pace with full transparency, always keeping the needs and convenience of the people in mind.
