In response to the catastrophic floods that have struck Punjab, Members of Parliament from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have committed to utilizing their Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds to support flood relief initiatives. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs from AAP are actively standing in solidarity with the people in the flood-affected areas, working to provide much-needed assistance.
Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak visited the flood-hit areas of Ferozepur to oversee rescue operations and announced ₹5 crore from his MPLADS funds for relief efforts. Similarly, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha assessed the situation in Gurdaspur district and pledged ₹3.60 crore from his MPLADS funds for flood relief work.
Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, who has been tirelessly involved in relief operations across Kapurthala district for days, announced a grant of ₹50 lakh from his discretionary funds. Additionally, he has introduced dedicated helpline numbers to provide direct support to flood victims.
Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh allocated ₹30 lakh from his funds to procure mobile water tankers and fogging machines. He also released ₹17.32 lakh to provide three boats for Ferozepur, two for Kapurthala, and one for Gurdaspur, along with four boats for Jalandhar.

Lok Sabha MP from Hoshiarpur, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, committed ₹50 lakh from his MPLADS funds to strengthen embankments at various locations in the district.
Sangrur MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, actively engaged in relief efforts in the Ajnala area of Amritsar, allocated ₹25 lakh from his MPLADS funds to the Amritsar district administration. Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal also contributed ₹20 lakh from his discretionary funds for relief efforts in Amritsar.
Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kang inspected the embankments of the Sutlej River at Bela Tajowal in Nawanshahr district and the erosion along the Patiala Ki Rao in Nayagaon, Mohali district. He promptly released ₹20 lakh from his MPLADS funds to reinforce the Sutlej embankment at Bela Tajowal.
