The announcement was made on Wednesday, with the party deciding to field a candidate only for the presidential position.

During a press conference at the party office in Chandigarh, AAP youth leader and Punjab Youth Development Board President, Parminder Singh Goldy, emphasized the accomplishments of CYSS during their last tenure. He highlighted that CYSS, contesting for the first time in 2022, successfully secured approval for the construction of two new hostels at the university, with grants already issued by the Punjab government.
