Dr. Baljit Kaur Presents Appointment Letters to Newly Recruited Employees in Social Security Department

Chandigarh, July 24,

Punjab’s Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, today handed over appointment letters to newly recruited employees of the department at Punjab Bhawan.

Providing further details, Dr. Baljit Kaur announced that as part of the department’s ongoing recruitment drive, appointments have been made for 10 Anganwadi Supervisors, 6 Superintendents (Children Homes), and 1 District Social Security Officer.

She highlighted that previously, 97 Anganwadi Supervisors were also appointed, marking another significant step toward enhancing the department’s efficiency and welfare services.

Congratulating the new appointees, Dr. Baljit Kaur urged them to carry out their duties with utmost honesty, dedication, and empathy to ensure that government welfare schemes reach those in need promptly and effectively.

The Minister emphasized the critical role of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development in serving all sections of society. She noted that the newly appointed staff will play a pivotal role in delivering government schemes to the grassroots level.

Dr. Kaur further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to generating more employment opportunities for the youth, with over 54,000 young individuals already provided government jobs.

In her concluding remarks, the Minister described the new employees as a vital link between government policies and beneficiaries, particularly the elderly, women, and children. She expressed confidence that their proactive and result-oriented efforts would ensure transparent and timely delivery of welfare schemes, strengthening Punjab’s social framework.

The event was attended by Special Chief Secretary  Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Dr. Shena Aggarwal, Special Secretary  Keshav Hingonia, Joint Secretary Anand Sagar Sharma, Additional Director  Charanjit Singh, Deputy Director Sukhdeep Singh, and other senior departmental officers, who congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to contribute effectively to public service.
