Dr. Damanjit Sandhu Assumes Role as Dean of Directorate of International Affairs at Punjabi University
Patiala, April 23
Dr. Damanjit Sandhu, Head of the Psychology Department and Professor at Punjabi University, officially took charge as the Dean of the Directorate of International Affairs today. The appointment orders were issued yesterday.
The event was attended by Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Puri, Director of Constituent Colleges Dr. Jaswinder Singh Brar, Finance Officer Pramod Aggarwal, along with other officials and members of the teachers’ association.
Notably, Prof. Sandhu has previously served as a Coordinator in the Directorate of International Affairs, playing a significant role in establishing partnerships between the university and various global organizations. Upon assuming the role, he expressed his commitment to enhancing Punjabi University’s international reputation in the future.

Prof. Sandhu is an internationally recognized academic in the field of psychology, with extensive publications in collaboration with researchers from prestigious universities in Europe, Australia, North America, and Thailand. He has presented his research on child and adolescent mental health and cyber psychology in over 15 countries and is associated with prominent research organizations focused on child welfare and mental health. He frequently appears on various media platforms to promote awareness about mental health and online safety.
Prof. Sandhu has been honored multiple times by the Chief Minister and Governor of Punjab for his distinguished contributions to mental health and education.
