Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Mundian hailed the Easy Registry initiative as a transformative step toward citizen-centric governance. Launched to streamline property registration, the project ensures transparency, eliminates corruption, and provides hassle-free services, including doorstep delivery and real-time digital updates, while ending the VIP culture of favoritism.
Key Features of Easy Registry

Online Pre-Scrutiny: Unsigned sale deeds are scrutinized online by Sub Registrars within 48 hours, reducing harassment and curbing corruption. Deputy Commissioners and SDMs monitor objections, with strict action against officers raising frivolous concerns.

First In, First Out (FIFO): The FIFO principle ensures fair registration processes, eliminating queue-jumping and favoritism.

Flexible Registration: Citizens can register property documents at any Sub Registrar office within their district, breaking the monopoly of individual offices.

Digital Updates: Automated WhatsApp updates keep applicants informed about scrutiny, payments, and appointments. A direct complaint link allows reporting of bribe demands, with prompt resolution by the concerned Deputy Commissioner.

Draft My Deed Module: Citizens can draft sale deeds via the online portal or at Sewa Kendra counters in Sub Registrar offices, staffed by professionals like advocates and retired Patwaris for a fixed fee of ₹550. Alternatively, doorstep delivery is available through the 1076 helpline.

Online Payments: Stamp duty and registration fees can now be paid online through 25 banks (up from 5), enhancing convenience.

Integrated Token Management System: Prioritizes citizens with scheduled appointments and complete documents, reducing waiting times.

Minister Mundian emphasized that Easy Registry marks a new era of efficiency and transparency in property registration across Punjab. The system, supported by upgraded servers, trained staff, and standardized processes, ensures uniform, corruption-free services in both urban and rural areas.
