On the sixth day of nominations for the 21-Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency bye-election, 14 nomination papers were submitted on Saturday.
A spokesperson from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, reported that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu filed two additional nomination papers today, having previously submitted one on October 17. Sucha Singh filed as a covering candidate for Harjit Singh Sandhu. Similarly, Leena Sandhu submitted her nomination as a covering candidate for Indian National Congress candidate Karanbir Singh.

Additionally, Arun Kumar Khurmi and Naib Singh from the Nationalists Justice Party filed their nominations. Independent candidates who submitted nominations include Harpal Singh, Harbrinder Kaur, Komalpreet Singh, Neetu, Vijay Kumar, Mandeep Singh, Nirmal Kaur, and Jaswant Singh.
The deadline for filing nominations is October 21, 2025, with scrutiny scheduled for October 22, 2025. The last date for withdrawal of candidatures is October 24, 2025.
