The M.Com.-I students of Post-Graduate Department of Commerce, Multani Mal
Modi College, Patiala organized a farewell party titled ‘Rukhsati’ for their outgoing
students. Another farewell party was organized by the Science Students of BSc-II of
the College to celebrate the precious moments of their seniors. These celebrations
were charged with emotional intensity, feelings of nostalgia, shared experiences and
the memories of the glorious moments spent by the outgoing students with teachers,
friends and juniors in the campus of Modi College.
College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal inaugurated both the events and congratulated
the students for their harmonious stay at the college. He motivated the students to
be life- long learners and to be in the pursuit of truth. He said that Modi College is
committed to provide quality education to the students so that they may shine in their
future careers and in their lives.
The Head of Commerce Department Prof. Neena Sareen addressed the outgoing
students and shared some memorable memories of the classrooms. She said that
the success of a student translates into a personal achievement for a teacher. She
motivated the students to be hard working and disciplined in their lives.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Registrar and Dean Life Scienceswhile addressing the farewell
party organized by BSc Medical–2nd Year students said that these are formative
years of your lives and the students must concentrate on their future plans. In this
party the students organised various fun filled activities like Musical Chairs,
Modelling and Musical extravaganza. Mr. Aditya was selected as Mr.Farewell and
Ms. Noorpreet won the Ms. Farewell title. The stage was conducted by Ms. Antra.
Commerce juniors presented the titles, ‘Excuse me please, ‘Charlie Chaplin’, ‘Mr.
Genius’, ‘Alpha Poshaak’, ‘Simplicity’ and ‘The Perfectionist’ to their seniors which
were highly applauded. Avneet, Dinisha and Nishtha conducted the stage and Prof.
Parminder Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Dr. Amandeep Kaur and Dr. Gaurav Gupta
judged the events. The Commerce Farewell Party was organised under the guidance
of Dr. Deepika Singla.
