DSGMC President Accompanies Lt Governor, Presents Siropa
New Delhi, July 22
The newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, visited Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi today, where he offered prayers and sought divine blessings from Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
He was warmly welcomed by Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), who honored Gupta with a siropa and a memento on behalf of the Sikh community.
During their interaction, Kalka congratulated Gupta on his appointment and extended best wishes for a successful and impactful tenure as Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. He prayed for Waheguru to bless Sh. Gupta with wisdom, strength, and steadfast commitment in serving the nation and its people.
Kalka highlighted the DSGMC’s ongoing dedication to serving humanity, promoting unity, peace, and spiritual values, while assuring full support for initiatives aligned with national interests.. Gupta praised the DSGMC for providing world-class healthcare facilities at minimal costs, describing it as a global exemplar.

The visit to this revered Sikh shrine by Gupta was a moment of spiritual reflection and mutual respect, reinforcing a shared commitment to inclusive governance and cultural harmony.
Speaking to the media, Kalka noted that Gupta, who received his school education and spent years in college in Punjab, has committed to participating in events commemorating the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the ninth Sikh Guru.
DSGMC office bearers, including General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon, were also present during the visit.
