MRSAFPI Achieves Remarkable 83% Success Rate as 25 Cadets Clear NDA-1 Written Exam
Chandigarh/SAS Nagar, May 11
In a proud and impressive achievement, 25 out of 30 cadets from Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), Mohali, have successfully cleared the NDA (I) Written Examination for the 157th Course at the prestigious National Defence Academy.
This outstanding result translates to an excellent 83% success rate — one of the best performances in the institute’s history. The results were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The successful cadets will now appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews, the final stage for admission to NDA.
Punjab’s Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora congratulated the cadets on their stellar performance and extended his best wishes for the upcoming SSB interviews and rigorous training ahead.

“These cadets are the pride of Punjab. Their discipline, dedication and hard work have brought great laurels to the state,” said the Minister.
Major General (Retd.) Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, Director of MRSAFPI, also congratulated the successful cadets and the faculty. He described the achievement as a significant milestone while reminding the cadets that SSB remains the real test of their personality and officer-like qualities.
He further informed that 25 cadets from the institute are currently awaiting call letters to join NDA, TES (Technical Entry Scheme), and CDS courses commencing in June this year.
