Park Hospital Emerges as a Center of Excellence in Critical Care

Patiala, July 11

Park Hospital organized a Patient Awareness Seminar focusing on critical illnesses and ICU care in the region. Following the seminar, a press conference was addressed by key hospital representatives, including Dr. Vikas Vashishth, Director of Critical Care; Dr. Vivek Sharma, Senior Consultant, Critical Care; Dr. Swati Patel, Consultant, Critical Care; Dr. Brahmprakash, Vice President of Medical Operations; and Col. Rajul Sharma, CEO. They shared insights on critical care services and dispelled myths surrounding ventilation.

Key Highlights

Dr. Vikas Vashishth highlighted the critical care landscape in India, stating, “India has only 2.3 critical care beds per one lakh patients, significantly lower than Western countries. Critical or intensive care involves diagnosing or managing life-threatening conditions, often requiring life-support systems. These units are equipped with the most advanced and technologically sophisticated facilities a hospital can offer.”

Col. Rajul Sharma emphasized the hospital’s comprehensive services, noting that Park Hospital Patiala is empanelled with ECHS, CGHS, ESI, Ayushman, and all major corporates. He added, “All types of critical care services are provided under one roof at Park Hospital, Patiala, ensuring accessibility and quality care for patients.”
