Patiala, November 22
In honour of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary (Prakash Purb) of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Patiala MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, along with Mayor Kundan Gogia, today inaugurated the newly constructed Khanda Chowk and adjoining road near Gurdwara Sri Moti Bagh Sahib. The ceremony commenced with Ardas led by former Head Granthi Giani Sukhdev Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kohli revealed that the foundation stone for this project was laid barely a month ago. He lauded Mayor Kundan Gogia and the entire Municipal Corporation team for completing the ₹40 lakh chowk and road in record time — less than one month. The MLA expressed heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and swift execution.
Kohli further announced that another historic chowk in Patiala will soon be redeveloped in a grand manner to acquaint the younger generation with the city’s rich religious and cultural heritage.
