Jimpa Reaffirms Commitment to Providing Assistance During Crises
Chandigarh, July 15
The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has established control rooms in all 23 districts to manage potential flood situations during the monsoon season. District Revenue Officers have been designated as the Nodal Officers for these control rooms.
Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management Minister, Punjab, Bram Shanker Jimpa, shared that the Punjab Government has made comprehensive arrangements to tackle flood-like situations during the monsoon. Following the directives of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, financial assistance has already been allocated to all Deputy Commissioners for cleaning torrents, choes, and drains. The cleaning work has been completed, but in the event of any untoward incidents, people can reach out to the control rooms for assistance.
