-VB unites against corruption; focuses on citizen empowerment and ACAL outreach
Chandigarh, October 27
Aligning with the Central Vigilance Commission’s nationwide campaign, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) launched Vigilance Awareness Week (October 27–November 2, 2025) with a solemn integrity pledge by all personnel at its Mohali headquarters.
The pledge, administered by Prabhjot Kaur (JD, Complaint Cell & IVC), was taken in the presence of Special DGP-cum-Chief Director Parveen Kumar Sinha, Joint Directors Tushar Gupta and Deyama Harish Kumar Omprakash, and AIG (Economic Offences Wing) Harpreet Singh.
An official spokesperson stated that the week aims to empower citizens in the fight against corruption and support VB’s multi-pronged eradication efforts.
Observed under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” the campaign emphasizes collective ethical governance.
To maximize outreach, all VB Range SSPs have been directed to organize events in rural and urban districts. A major thrust will promote the Chief Minister’s Anti-Corruption Action Line (ACAL) via WhatsApp at 9501200200, enabling confidential audio-video complaints since its March 2022 launch.

Integrity pledges were also administered across all district headquarters.
As part of the awareness drive:
- Banners with vigilance officer contacts will be displayed at key public locations.
- Range Officers will conduct seminars and workshops in schools, colleges, and public venues, featuring eminent speakers on integrity and ethics.
- Collaborations with government departments will amplify the anti-corruption message.
