-Accused caught accepting money for fake negative dope test certificate
Chandigarh, October 27
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Monday arrested Jatinder Singh, a Security Guard at Civil Hospital Baba Bakala Sahib (Amritsar district), red-handed while accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe.
A VB spokesperson said the arrest followed a complaint by Resham Singh, who alleged that Jatinder demanded the amount to facilitate issuance of a negative dope test certificate required for an arms license.
After verifying the complaint, a VB Flying Squad laid a trap and caught the accused accepting the bribe from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
