Supporting Soldiers: Aakash Educational Services MoU

Patiala, January 16

Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to provide dedicated educational support and welfare benefits to serving personnel, ex-servicemen, gallantry award winners, disabled soldiers, and families of martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Under this agreement, students from Indian Army families will receive special scholarships and fee concessions at all Aakash centres and branches across the country. The MoU was signed by Colonel (Ceremonial & Welfare 3&4), Indian Army, and Dr. Yash Pal, Chief Academic and Business Head, Delhi-NCR, Aakash Educational Services Limited.

The primary focus of the MoU is to promote the welfare of Indian Army personnel and their families by offering scholarships for various courses at AESL centres nationwide.

Key Benefits under the MoU:

  • Children of personnel martyred in the line of duty: Only registration fee required; 100% waiver on all other fees.
  • Children of personnel with disability of 20% or more and gallantry award winners: 100% tuition fee waiver.
  • Children of serving and retired personnel: 20% concession on tuition fees (applicable after deducting any other applicable scholarship).

These exclusive benefits are in addition to Aakash’s existing scholarship schemes, which continue to remain open to all aspiring students.

Commenting on the initiative, Chandra Shekhar Garisa Reddy, MD & CEO, Aakash Educational Services Limited, said: “Through scholarships, mentoring, and counselling, our aim is to ensure that the children of our brave soldiers can realise their full potential and emerge as outstanding leaders in their chosen fields.”

During the tenure of the MoU, AESL will also provide comprehensive mentoring and counselling support to children of Indian Army personnel. This assistance—available both virtually and in-person—will address all academic and career-related queries and concerns.

Recently, AESL also signed an MoU with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association (CRPF FWA), under which educational support, scholarships, and career guidance will be extended to children and families of CRPF personnel across the country.

This partnership reflects Aakash Educational Services’ continued commitment to honouring and supporting the families of those who serve and protect the nation. 🇮🇳
